The Huawei P smart+ 2019 was quietly unveiled. It’s very similar to the Huawei P smart 2019 with a 6.21” 1080p+ screen, Kirin 710 chipset and 3,400mAh bettery . What sets the plus model apart is the improved camera at the back.
A 24MP main shooter is joined by a 16MP ultra-wide angle camera and a 2MP depth sensor. For comparison, the non-plus model had 13MP main camera and 2MP depth sensor. The selfie camera in the waterdrop notch has an 8MP sensor an AI smarts.

AI helps the rear camera to stabilize the image for low light photos with Night mode. Additionally, it can shoot 480fps slow motion videos.
The Huawei P smart+ 2019 is powered by a Kirin 710 chipset (12nm, 4x A73 + 4x A53). The Mali-G51 MP4 gets GPU Turbo 2.0 for smoother gameplay. The chipset is hooked up to 3GB of RAM and 64GB storage, plus up to 512GB more on a microSD card.

Huawei P smart+ 2019 in Starlight Blue and Midnight Black
The P smart+ 2019 will come in Black and Blue. Pricing and availability info isn’t available yet. The P smart 2019 launched at €250 (but has dropped to €220 since). Note that the P smart+ 2019 will be available in China as the Enjoy 9s.
Huawei P Smart+ (2019) specifications
As we mentioned earlier, the Huawei P Smart+ (2019) features a triple rear camera setup. This setup houses a 24-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 16-megapixel sensor with an ultra wide angle lens. At the front, the notch houses an 8-megapixel selfie shooter. The camera has artificial intelligence (AI) built in and Huawei claims that it can identify over 500+ scenes and 22 categories in real-time. In comparison, the P Smart (2019) had a 13-megapixel primary shooter along with a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
The Huawei P Smart+ (2019) has a fingerprint scanner at the back next to the camera module. The phone is powered by Huawei's HiSilicon Kirin 710 SoC, which includes an octa-core processor with four A73 cores and four A53 cores. Huawei has paired this SoC with 3GB of RAM and 64GB storage, which is expandable by up to 512GB via the microSD card slot.
Huawei ships the phone with EMUI 9 on top of Android 9 Pie. The phone measures 155.2x73.4x7.95mm, and weighs about 160 grams. It will be offered in Starlight Blue and Midnight Black colours.
