The Samsung Galaxy A8 Plus 2018 competed against the likes of the OnePlus 5T and the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 at the time of its launch. As was typical for Samsung then, the phone was not very competitively priced. As a result, despite having decent specifications, the phone could not create any ripples in a market that was ruled by the likes of affordable flagships. By extending the Android Pie love, and updating the phone for two Android versions, Samsung is making us hopeful for its future releases in this price segment, despite the frequency of Samsung’s releases.
